Gilmore Girls Season 3 Episode 1

I think that the cliffhanger that happened in season two was one of the most dramatic ones that ever was on Gilmore Girls. It wasn’t a cliffhanger as much as it seems like that everything that the Gilmores had ever hoped for had suddenly changed.

Things really fell apart for Lorelai. Up until this point in the show it had always looked like that maybe the love of her life was Rory’s father Christopher but that he just wasn’t stable enough. During the last episode of season two things finally look like they might be put together and maybe the Gilmore girls will finally have a strong influence of the male persuasion in both Rory and Lorelei’s life. However, it also just looks like this just wasn’t meant to be. Christopher receives some life changing news and it also changes Rory and Lorelai’s lives. Unfortunately, then Lorelai has to explain to her disapproving mother Emily why she has once again failed at this particular aspect of her life.

This episode of Gilmore Girls is called Lazy-Hazy-Crazy-Days. There could be several reasons it’s called this. This is one of the few episodes of Gilmore Girls that takes place during the summer. I think this has to do with Rory begin so academic so that the real story is usually during the school year.

Another reason that this might be is that this is a song that occurs a lot throughout this episode. Taylor Doose hires a big city band to come and play at their town festival. However, they only seem to know one song and play it over and over again. It provides much needed comic relief to the very dramatic episodes where all of Stars Hollow seems turned upside down. Just be aware that you’ll probably find yourself singing this song a lot after you watch this episode and it’s one of those songs that can be very difficult to get out of your head.
