Inquiring Minds Want to Know

I was recently watching the episode again where Jess was fixing the gutters at Lorelai’s house and they are both trying to make nice for Rory’s sake. Rory accuses Jess of not being friendly and he says that he took the Coke even though he thinks that’s it’s a little freaky or weird to put lime in Coke. I totally disagree with him on this. I was adding lime to coke long before it came in a can. Well, truthfully I did this with Pepsi, but the same rule applies. In fact I’ll rarely drink it without. In Stars Hollow the fundraisers always seem to be around building the bridge, rebuilding the bridge, or buying a cover to protect the bridge. I love small town fundraisers so much that I’ll almost always show up no matter the cause. It’s just interesting to watch an entire town labor for one thing for so long. There’s a box where you can donate money to help the entire town harness the energy from the sun. I’m eco friendly and everything but I just don’t think that we’d ever be able to raise enough money to accomplish it. What is your town’s version of the bridge?

There is one thing that my town doesn’t do that I wish we did. I’m afraid to mention this to anyone in the city for fear that they will make me organize it. I really love the town book sale that they have in Stars Hollow. Sure, it wasn’t one of their flashier events and Dean was bored. However, I just think it’s a great idea and I would definitely go. In fact sometimes I look in small town newspapers of neighboring towns so that I can be alert if any of them ever have book sales.
