Like Lorelai I watched this movie because of the name. I envisioned a lot of women running around yelling “Ya ya”. I wanted ya ya to become a catch phrase for empowerment. Plus, there was a pretty sunflower on the cover. It looked like such an uplifting movie. After about half an hour I was pointing the remote control to my head and pressing the rewind button as if this would somehow erase the memory of this awful, awful film. The only good thing about this movie is the title and the cover.

The difference? He didn’t have an open guitar case or coffee cup to put money in. The only possession close to him was a water bottle. He was singing in the street just for the love of it. I wanted to request that he make commentaries about the passerbys and general town life but I didn’t want to interrupt him. Sadly, he was not there the next day so I don’t know if he’s the town troubadour or just a passing through troubadour.
