The Day the Music Died

It’s sad that I still remember that this is the anniversary of when Gilmore Girls went off the air.  I still watch the show whenever it’s on ABC Family.  I even watch it when it’s on the Soap Network, although then I think “Why the crap is this on the Soap Network?”

The really sad part is that I have all of the DVDs of the show, but whenever I see it on TV it’s still the best thing on so I tune in.  Plus, it’s comforting to know that it’s still around & other people appreciate it.  I wonder if two years is soon enough for people to start talking about a movie?  START TALKING PEOPLE!  No, I don’t have insider information, just hope.

  1. Same here:(

  2. Oh, I’d love for there to be a movie too, where Lorelai and Luke get married, and Lulu and Kirk get married, and Hep Alien gets signed to major recording contract, etc.–you can tell I’m a big fan of happy endings. I hope that Lauren isn’t opposed to having a reunion movie. I’m glad it’s still being shown on ABC Family and the soap network–maybe there ‘s hope of a movie.

Fan fiction (season 8, 9 etc.) just isn’t the same, although i think i should give it another try.

Oh, you so teased me with your title–I thought your post was going to be about Gil, one (of quite a few) of my favorite characters.

  3. i couldn’t bring myself to buy the last 2 seasons of the show. when you combine christopher, april, and logan, my gag reflexes start to kick in.

the first few seasons are like comfort food. :)

  4. the gilmore girls is starting a new season june 8 on abc family. yay.

  5. Oh I would love for there to be a movie! I read the virtual gilmore girls, because i dont want the show to be over.
I love watching it on tv, its much better then the dvds cause then it feels like its really on again.

  6. it’s annoying because now on ABC Family they are announcing “a brand new season of gilmore girls!” but its actually just a re-run of season 7. =(

  7. It’s new to ABC family, but their trickery annoys me.

  8. A movie would be amazing!! I’d love to know the four final words that Amy Sherman-Palladino had planned for the final episode. It would be interesting to see what happened to Lorelai and Rory in the future.
