I use to have a roommate who always said the word romantical.  Then we would have fights meetings about whether romantical was actually a word & even if it was a word how it shouldn’t be one.  I was obviously against the word romantical, but just this once I will present what I think are the most romantical Gilmore Girls moments, in no particular order.

1000 yellow daises.  Granted, they were given to Lorelai by Max, not Luke.  However, 1000 yellow daises will always be romantical, no matter who gives them.

Luke & Lorelai’s first kiss.  There’s just something about the combination of him swearing when he says he’s trying to be romantic and commanding Lorelai to stand still when he kisses her.

Wow, I’m only at two.  I never really looked to the show because it was about a love story.  I always thought of it as just plain awesome.  Help me out, what should the other three most romantic Gilmore Girls moments be? (Please, only include Christopher if you must.  I might throw up in my mouth a little.)  Also note that my spell check is underlining the word romantical because it is not a word.

Well, um . . . there’s when Logan totally saves the day on the newspaper. Getting the printer’s to not give up their time AND then he has food for him and Rory. Rory does say “when you’re on . . .’

Plus Dean building Rory a car is pretty romantical. It’s mixed up in the three month anniversary break-up and then it’s mixed up with a Lorelai/Richard fight. Still it’s romantical. I mean he builds her a car. I was once given a beautiful pen holder made in shop class . . . by my brother. So it’s sweet instead of romantical.

And yeah, anytime there’s 1000 of any kind of sweet-smelling flower it’s romantical.

when dean makes rory that bracelet for her birthday. when luke and lorelai are at the hospital (richard’s first health scare) and they’re sitting in the hallway and she tells him he “looks good” and she gets all embarrassed.

i refuse to acknowledge the existence of logan or christopher. anything they did wasn’t romantical. it was over the top. big difference.

I don’t know why people don’t like Logan ( I mean he does become a good guy in the end). I admit at first I hated Logan but now I have come to adore him! Yea, the marriage thing was a little over the top but he was the best for Rory not to mention he is gorgeous! But anyways one of my favorite moments is when Rory tells Logan she wants to have “stringless fun” and then they hide in a spare room ( her grandparents wedding) and she kisses him for the first time. The flirting conversation on the dance floor and then scene with the kiss has passion, intrigue and romance. love it!

I loved it when Logan came back from London and surprised Rory with a dinner on the roof. Also, the ice skating rink Luke built for Lorelai. That was downright adorable.
And when Dean made a car for Rory. Even people who don’t like Dean (not my case) have to admit how sweet and romantic that was.

I think the most romantical thing is when Luke build a chuppah for Lorelai. He’s jealous and just miserable that she will marry Max, but he doesn’t want to offend her and he does this wonderful and attentive gift. And I adore what he says next (a mix between sweetness and sarcasm):

“LUKE: No. I mean, I guess, for some people marriage, you know, isn’t the worst thing in the world. I mean, it’s probably better than being hobbled or something like that.

LORELAI: And people can evolve together, don’t you think?

    LUKE: Maybe.

LORELAI: Yoko and John Lennon did. They just got closer and closer as the years went by. At the end, they had the same face.

LUKE: Yeah, it got a little spooky.

    LORELAI: But cool.

LUKE: Yeah, they were lucky. I guess if you can find that one person, you know, who’s willing to put up with all your crap, and doesn’t want to change you or dress you or you know, make you eat French food, then marriage can be all right. But that’s only if you find that person.”

Another romantic moment is when Logan & Rory have jumped in the Life and Death Brigad, and she’s just ecstatic because she did it and she proud of her. She said :”It was a one in a lifetime!” And he answered : “Only if you want it to be.”
And the end of the episode is romantic, when she opens the door and discovers what Logan put behind : a bottle of alcohol, the mask and the camera with photos of them jumping (he said she can’t have photos of the week-end).

I agree with k! I loathe Dean but this first kiss was romantic and in the spirit of Gilmore Girls.
