One of the few things Paris has ever liked

March of the Penguins has been on Animal Planet lately. I remember where Paris said that the penguin movie rocks. It’s basically the only thing she’s ever complimented.

At first I thought more than two hours watching penguins was akin to being back in high school & watching videos in science class. However, March of the Penguins is enthralling. It shouldn’t be so fascinating to watch penguins, but it just is. A word of warning: I now hate pelicans & weird seal looking things & anything else that is an enemy to the emperor penguin.

Rory’s Book Club: Holiday on Ice

I saved Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris to read on Thanksgiving. I thought it was a sure way to get rid of any of my holiday blues. Me Talk Pretty One Day was one of the funniest things I read.

Holidays on Ice was still funny, but there were also a few extremely gloomy stories included. I guess I had David Sedaris typed cast as the funny guy. The gloomy stories were impeccably written, very good, but dang it I want him to be funny. So to recap the book was good, but it was no Me Talk Pretty One Day.

I have triumphed!

About two years ago I started making a list of all of the movies, books, plays & TV shows mentioned on Gilmore Girls.  I finally just finished this project.  It helps me keep track of what I’ve already seen & what I still need to see.  These are in the pages category in the top menu.  I’m sure that there are spelling errors & I might’ve messed up a few episode numbers or missed some references completely, but it was a lot of work & it’s nice to be done.
