15 Oct 2007 Rory’s Book Club: Sacred Time
 |  Category: Book Reviews

Do you remember that episode of Friends where Monica gives the toast at her parents anniversary with the intent of making everyone cry so she comes dredges up memories of their grandmother & dead dog? “Sacred Time” by Ursula Hegi reminded me of that scene. It wasn’t a bad book, but it seemed forced, like it had been written with the intent to make people cry or gasp in disbelief. This book follows three generations in Brooklyn. When I finished this book I thought “eh”. It was just another book to me with pages & words. Again, it’s not a bad book, it just didn’t stand out from Rory’s Book Club list.
