Big Shoes

After the end of "Gilmore Girls" I’m left thinking now what?  I’m pretty selective about TV viewing, but some of my guilty pleasures include:

Iron Chef

Project Runway

Ace of Cakes

The Riches

The Office

I think that’s some of the best television right there.  It just doesn’t inspire me though.  I don’t watch it & think, "I’m going to become a gypsy", or "I’m going to go in the kitchen & try to cook really really fast & have Mo Rocca mock me".  I know I’ll probably never be able to fill the shoes of "Gilmore Girls", I don’t want to even try.  It’s like going out & buying a new puppy when the dog dies.  I just wish there was something else that inspired me, TV wise, but that’s asking a lot.  "Gilmore Girls" was one of kind, it was the first show that made me really want to change, & maybe it’s the last.  This is why we have DVD’s 😛

About Sarakastic

I've watched every episode of Gilmore Girls several times. I moved to a small town that reminded me of Stars Hollow. I've subconsciously had my haircut to look like Lorelai. Gilmore Girls is my life, I just have to find Luke. (Well, I didn't have a kid when I was 16, but other than that...)

I hear you. I found 90 minutes of solace in the “So You Think You Can Dance” premiere last night, but it’s not like that gives me a new way to look at life the way the Girls did.

    Thank God for DVDs!!!

I didnt really follow Gilmore Girls from the beginning but cought re-runs once and a while. for christmas one year i was given season five on dvd, i had recently moved out of my parents house into a hell hole with room mates that made me feel like i was living in a VH1 reality show, and paying to live there! I poped a smiley loralie disc one into my dvd player, watched all four episodes, and i was hooked! I watched all through the night and called in to work the next day to finish the season. It wasnt the plot at this point that had me, but the beautiful little town, and the inn, yale, pop culture refrences, books, brown hair, fall, sookie!!! and of course the charming and whitty gilmore girls. it had been a little warm comfurt in my time of need. within the next few months i had purchased the rest of the available seasons! I love them all. now its over… i am sad(and mad, im smad!) its 2010 and i am replying on a post from 3 years ago! hey if lame-o sex and the city can get a movie not one but two, maybe gilmore girls can… that probably wont happen and they would probably ruin it any way. I didnt mean to get carried away with this post and give you my gilmore girl testimony, sorry bout that.
