Tonight’s episode is why I started watching "Gilmore Girls". It’s like life, on an interesting day.
When Rory doesn’t get her internships & worries that everyone will leave her that is what graduating from college feels like.
When Lorelai obsesses about why Luke is wearing the hat she gave him again, that’s what relationships are like.
When Logan asks Lorelai for Rory’s hand in marriage & he has to keep repeating Lorelai over & over as the screen fades out, that is exactly what Grandpa Gilmore’s stroke is like.
When Lorelai sings "I will always love you" karaoke to Luke, well that is what jumping the shark is like. Usually a karaoke scene is the kiss of death, but I still loved it.
The CW may have actually added something cool to their website, Kirk giving tours of Stars Hallow, but it’s too slow on my computer to tell so please someone check it out & tell me about it.
And the filming’s being done in a different way, isn’t it? Actually more like the originals, I think. But, OH!, to think of Lorelai losing Rory to San Francisco. My heart, my heart! (I’m smellin’ a Luke-sized rescue after that one…)

I would be so lost without your recap (and writhing in frustration during my Tuesday night class). Your highlights reel of this episode gives me hope that things are on the upswing again in the GG writers’ booth. It will be nice to know a good episode is coming when I watch the reruns of all the sub-par ones this summer!
