"Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse is a book that will go with me no matter where I go, or what I do. Which is a little tricky because I don’t actually own the book, I had to read it at the Gutenberg project. However, I will buy the book & I will carry it with me everywhere. I will read it once a year. If I ever stop liking this book, I will kick myself because that will mean that I will have lost touch with who I want to be. It’s the book for anyone searching for truth. It has nothing to do with religion or culture & everything to do with finding peace. It’s a book about, a lot of things, but mostly life. Herman Hesse will have to fight Dorothy Parker to see who remains in my top 5 books of all time, now there’s a fight I would like to see. (Ok, so I obviously didn’t grasp the peace part of "Siddhartha", it’s not my fault that hypothetical fighting between dead authors for my everlasting love & devotion is cool)

This is one of my favourite books too. It’;s been years since I read it though, I should dust off my old copy..
