I got halfway through THE BELL JAR last week (BAD book to start on your birthday, I learned...) and had to put it down. Knowing how things ended for the author herself made me too leary to see what she'd do to her hapless heroine. But then again, I'm a bit of a wimp... Still loving the pop tart rating system - read on!!! Wow - if this is the most depressing book you’ve read, then I don’t want it anywhere near me, because you’re WAY braver than me!
