The whiniest post ever

7th Heaven went off the air in May 2006, we had our series finale, we said our goodbyes.  I suddenly noticed BAHM the show is starting again.  While it is a very odd move by the CW it gives me hope.  Maybe they will really fight to keep “Gilmore Girls” for at least another season.  I don’t really know if I’m ready for it to be over.  However, I also am not prepared for the show to keep sucking. When I finally watched the one episode I had missed this season, I didn’t care that nothing made sense.  I was just happy to see my “friends” again, they are so pretty.  Whatever happens, I still have 42 discs of “Gilmore Girls” to watch repeatedly.  I have enough books, music, & obscure TV references to last me for the rest of my life.  I just need to know.  I need time to prepare, not just be watching one week & the preview be for the series finale.  Whatever happens, I hope the show gets back to its roots.  I hope that Anna/April/Christopher/Lucy or anyone else along those lines, takes an exit soon & we can get back to the townspeople & Lorelei & Rory. I’m trying to be very zen about this, but please does it have to be the last season? What do you think will/should happen to the show?

About Sarakastic

I've watched every episode of Gilmore Girls several times. I moved to a small town that reminded me of Stars Hollow. I've subconsciously had my haircut to look like Lorelai. Gilmore Girls is my life, I just have to find Luke. (Well, I didn't have a kid when I was 16, but other than that...)

7th heaven started again last fall.

but wait… is there a chance GG will be CANCELLED?!?!?! say it ain’t so!!!!

I refused to watch 7th Heaven on principle when I heard they had renewed it.

I’m ready for GG to be over. I don’t know if you saw the Matrix trilogy, but the third one stunk. That’s what this last season is doing. At this point, I don’t care what happens to anybody, I just don’t want them getting Luke and Lorelai back together. He deserves someone way better than the person her character is becoming. Don’t even get me started on the wimpy, untrusting nature of of Rory’s character. How did she get to the point where she has so little self esteem? Not cool.

I’ve been wondering this same thing myself. In theory, if it’s going to keep sucking–hit the road. But I know I’ll go through some kind of withdrawl. On the other hand, bad writing or not, if it gets cancelled I won’t be able to go on the WB lot tour in California! Can you imagine being able to walk around the ‘real’ Stars Hollow?!?!

Side note: I hadn’t given 7th Heaven the time of day in YEARS–the people on that show can’t act. Period. And I will never forgive them for picking 7th Heaven over Everwood. THAT was an awesome show.

Back to Gilmore: I’m anxious for this week’s episode–but I truly miss the wonderfulness of Gilmore days gone by.

I’m with Virginia…picking 7th Heaven and not keeping Everwood was just unforgivable. I miss Everwood, and they don’t even have it out on DVD beyond the first season…so sad!

As for our girls in Stars Hollow, I’m not ready to imagine life without them. Rory is going through an annoying phase, but honestly, how many of us made it through our twenties without dating a guy who treated us like old cheese and whining endlessly about him like he was our only hope of happiness? The storyline would be great if Amy were back writing it…
