14 Dec 2006 Funny Cartoon
 |  Category: Gilmore Girls  | 3 Comments

Thanks to Virginia for bringing this cartoon to my attention.  It is a perfect description of everything that is wrong with Season 7. I love that “Gilmore Girls” is just that important to people, that it actually gets mentioned in a cartoon.  As it should be, as it should be. Can you tell that I’m just posting a lot so that I don’t have to go read “David Cooperfield”?

14 Dec 2006 The ringing of the bells
 |  Category: Gilmore Girls  | Leave a Comment

Every year I forget that my town pipes Christmas music into the center of town for a month. I have no idea how they do it. Magic I guess. Maybe they use the alarm that is used to call the volunteer fire fighters. I don’t know if an alarm can play Christmas music, but I can’t think of any other sound system that would have such an effect. Anywhere you go within a 4 block radius of main street, there’s Christmas music, nice & loud. I don’t even know exactly why they bother because even the dry cleaner has recently gone out of business.  I was standing in the center of town, thinking how quaint this is.  Then I stood there for 7.3 more minutes & I found I was filled with uncontrollable rage.  I found myself wanting to fight against “the man” who pipes in music to the entire town.  What if I don’t like Christmas music?  What if it offends me while I stand forlornly wondering where I am going to get dry cleaning done?  It was my “bell moment”.  (Remember when the town bells were fixed & they created havoc).  I think this pushed me up another .82% on the Gilmore scale.

12 Dec 2006 “Merry Fisticuffs” Video
 |  Category: Recaps  | 3 Comments

I’ve finally seen snippets of “Merry Fisticuffs”. Anna & Luke fight, Christopher & lorelai fight, Logan & Rory fight, Rory & that one annoying new girl fight, Christopher & Luke actually fist fight. The clip is 8 minutes long but seems to be all of the important parts. My recap: I really like fighting.

12 Dec 2006 HELP!: the Sarakastic who cried wolf
 |  Category: Book Reviews  | 4 Comments

The next new “Gilmore Girls” episode will be on January 23. I’m always cranky that “Gilmore Girls” isn’t on around Christmas.  They are my friends & I’d like to spend the holidays with them. The next episode is called Santa’s Secret Stuff, so it should be kind of a Christmas episode.  So, if I’m cranky that’s why, 7 weeks without “Gilmore Girls”. At least that’s almost two months for me to pretend that Christopher & Lorelai aren’t together.

I was planning on filling the new void in my life with Rory’s books. However, I have finally reached the bottom of the barrel. I’ve spent months looking at thrift stores & borrowing books from anyone who owns books.  I’ve scoured every library in a 60 miles radius (I really have driven that far for books). The roads are just too bad to continue that. I could do interlibrary loans, but that gets expensive. Plus, I’m afraid that the librarian will look at me like “What? You’re too good for Nora Roberts?”. I would love to buy the remaining 75+ books, but again that’s very expensive. So, am I missing something? Is there a reason that my library has 6 Beyonce CD’s & no Charles Dickens?  That’s how desperate I am for books.  I finally  have to stop procrastinating reading “David Cooperfield”.  Things are just that bad.  Is there any other way to get books?  I’ve been looking into this where you swap paperbacks with people.  Has anyone tried this? Do you think it’s safe?  Should I buy a P.O Box? Would you be sad if I got chopped up into little tiny pieces?
