Ringtone Rant
I’m so envious of the “Gilmore Girls” ringtones. Lorelai has a nice simple “ring ring” on her cell phone. It’s perfect for any social situation, who really wants their co-workers to find out they love Avril enough to have a warbled version blare out during a board meeting? Really is anyone that proud to be an Avril fan? The closest my phone can manage is what a normal phone would sound like underwater in space. I could always pay $.99 & buy a normal phone ring, but I really don’t want to devote that much time to sifting through “Simple Plan” ringtones. Besides, it should come with the phone, it is my inherent right as a phone owner to use a normal ringtone. Anyone out there willing to confess what their ringtone is?

I got obsessed with ringtones last year and now could have approximately 3 downloaded rings for every person on my contact list. I only have one Christmas song so for the month of December I use Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas (is you)’. I also have a really low version of ‘Where You Lead (Gilmore Girls theme). I have stopped the insanity and now prefer regular ringtones. As far as how to find them- sorry I don’t know

I wish I knew what my ringtone is. It sounds like something that would be played at a Mexican wedding, but it was the most normal one that came with the phone (other than the ring that sounded like one of those big black phones from the 1950’s - that one is just eerie, coming from my little PDA). I think I need a production assistant or props manager like the Gilmores have to take care of these things for me

I actually came across this little thing while trying to SEARCH for the exact gilmore girls ringtone. I love it so much, that I am psychotically trying to search for it. Seriously, I need it. It is so simple and amazing. I’m really tired of having the choice between the overbearing “standard” ringtone which more closely resembles a steel-band, or the latin-inspired tango medley, or the urban-chic techno remix. I just want something that sounds like a phone, OR…. the elegent simplisity of the Lor’s ringtone. JEALOUS.
But for now, I will frantically search for my phone when I feel it vibrate, for sometimes it’s just very embarassing and OH-SO inappropriate to have to listen to get-on-the-dancefloor ringtones.
