It hit a bit too close to home for me, though, as when I read it, a close friend had become one of those Upper East Side moms with an overworked/underpaid nanny and the whole thing just seemed really gross. I'm not against hiring someone to help care for your kids, but they should probably be paid better than the girl who shampoos your hair before you get it cut.
