07 Nov 2006 “Go Bulldogs” Recap
 |  Category: Recaps

“Go Bulldogs!” was a great episode of “Gilmore Girls”. Not a lot of drama.  Christopher, Lorelai & Rory were playing the happy family at Yale’s parents weekend. Even had “Living on a prayer” sung A cappella, which I thought was pretty, weird, but pretty.  Luke went on a date with April’s crazy swim instructor.  There was a classic Lorelai messing with Emily’s mind, by pretending to be talking to the voicemail when she called so Emily thought the phone was messing up.  (I will definitely have to try this one) Only one problem: IT’S STILL WITH THE WRONG FREAKING GUY. Don’t worry I’ll fix it.  The writers just need to go into Microsoft Word–>Edit–>Find–>Replace Tab–>Find Christopher–>Replace with: Luke–>Replace All button. There all better! That wouldn’t really work though because as much as I hate to admit it, Luke doesn’t have the chemistry with Lorelai/Rory that Christopher does. Why do they do this to me? Pick one already. If Lorelai is going to be with Chris, then she should be with Chris, no more back & forth. Luke should leave & get his own show. The Aeria girls can even have their “special” channel. No idea what a Provost is even after googling it.

  1. Wikipedia to the rescue:

  2. You know, I hate to admit it, but Christopher is growing on me. I’m watching reruns of past seasons on channel 26 every night, realizing that Luke is a great guy if you need your porch rebuilt, but Lorelai would be dreaming of some other guy by the end of their honeymoon. Sad, but true.

At the same time, I’m afraid to like Christopher; terrified the writers will mess with us again and make him morph back into an A#@$$.

Gilmore Girl devotion is not for the faint of heart!

  3. Luke went on a date!? WTF.

I seriously need to figure out how to download these episodes.

  4. Sigh. Part of me wants to boycott the rest of the season and just tune in for the series finale. I can’t make myself like Christopher. He had his chance many moons ago and he screwed up every single one. He should not be rewarded for bad behavior. On a different topic, I (grudgingly) admit that Luke and April had a cute little father/daughter moment when he got home from his (gag me) date.

  5. Watch it again…there was a classic romance novel set up in Tuesday’s show. I by ‘classic’ I mean ‘formulaic’. They’ve got me hooked for another season if only to see if I’m right… :)

  6. The date that Luke went on was a little strange as was the swimming classes. Lorelai messing with Emily with the whole message thing was just like old Gilmore Girls thank goodness. But I totally cannot stand Christopher, it makes it hard to enjoy the episodes cause I know he is just gonna mess everything up again prolly.
