It’s probably a bad thing that I saw a lot of myself in “The picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. Not to say that I evilly go about trying to ruin people’s souls. I also don’t have a scary portrait of myself hidden away. Plus, unlike Dorian Gray, I have my own opinions. Lord Henry Wotton was supposed to be the bad guy & his ideas were probably quite novel when written, but now they are pretty much common thinking. Ok, so I am nothing like this book, I was just trying to find something to write about it. This book was a solid 6 on a scale from 1-10. That score is so high mostly because I was expecting it to be scary (I don’t like scary books), & it wasn’t. That was really the highest point of the book “non scary”. The moral is “be careful what you wish for”. There I just saved you 204 pages. Thank me later.  I would be interested in anyone else’s thoughts on this book.
