Usually people aren’t so excited about closed captioning. I had to turn it on during “The Great Stink” because the “Gilmore Girls” were actually saying stuff I didn’t know about. So I had to turn it on so I could read how to spell it, so I could google it later, because I’m just that much of a dork. First, it was off to find out what gerunds means (I still have no idea). Then I tried to translate what “Bon Viant” means, but I came up with nothing, so I let that one go. Then I read a little bit about Captain Blythe (no link because I couldn’t find a solid biography, the show described him pretty well), & found out what an epaulet is, as well as a middy. Then there were searches for various kinds of vegetable soda & a cute plaid shirt like Lorelai was wearing. I missed about 3 references in the first 15 minutes. Mostly because I wasn’t expecting them because Season 6 has been sucking lately. It will be interesting when I try to insert my new words into everyday conversation.
Ok, in between all my quickly writing down words, there was also a show. I think that they didn’t show a proper preview last week because it would have been boring. Hey, you can have plot, or words like gerunds, I’ll get my plot from other shows. I’ve never been so excited for relationships to fall apart. I’m completely rooting for Sherry & Bobbie to break up Lorelai+Chris & Rory+Logan. Come on girls, I believe in you, you can totally do this. The pickle storyline reminded me too much of when Kirk was in charge of the Easter Egg hunt & he didn’t make an egg map & the town smelled of rotting eggs. However, this episode was better than most we’ve seen lately, including Season 6. Lorelai was right, Chris is no Luke. Sorry, I’m scatterbrained in this review because of all my new words & the prospect of drinking celery soda. I’m on brain overload with all the new information, it’s like eating too many pixie sticks. Now I just pointed out my scatterbrained-ness, way to go Sarakastic. I’m just that excited.
